Scenes of sun

Last night I settled in on the edge of the water, unable to tear myself away, drinking in every last second of another glorious weekend. Clinging, relishing, reveling, savoring. “Don’t go!” I was tempted to shout across the deep blue lake. I watched another day march on, the ball of sun slowly slipping behind the mountains (yet again). I said a silent thank you for bare feet, sun-kissed cheeks, great company, houseboat porches, acoustic guitar strums, BBQed chicken, cold IPAs, long walkabouts, a quieter mind, homebound phone chats, waterside book sits, explosive belly laughs, nighttime kayak jaunts exposing a stretched-out city skyline in all its twinkling goodness. The sun has been BEAMING around here as of late, y’all, and I am loving it. I hope your weekends were full of near-summer sweetness too!

“Whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it’s because that desire originated in the soul of the universe. It’s your mission on earth. And when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”~Paulo Coelho

I love the pics, but love the introduction even more. Especially the little thank you’s! Sounds similar to mine.
