Stubborn hope

“Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: you don’t give up….”~Anne Lamott

(*In Edinburgh, I had Blackford Hill. Here, I have Gasworks Park. I love that green space with its spectacular water/city views, and I love the sight of a silhouette-dotted mound with kites soaring high above. Some of these places might lose their allure with time, but for now, the appeal keeps drawing me back. And I’m game to visit as often as I get the itch.)

Love the quote! And I totally get being drawn to a familiar hill or nature spot. Love the connection between green green Edina and Seattle hills! The universe!!!! 🙂
